An Iowa City man faces a criminal mischief charge after urinating on a moped for what he called “vengeance”.

According to Iowa City Police, 37-year-old Nicholas Lecnar of Fairchild Street had been upset with his upstairs neighbor due to excessive noise around 4am on October 5th. Lecnar can be seen on video yelling at his neighbor through a window, then urinating on the neighbor’s moped.

When Lecnar was later asked by police about the incident, he admitted to urinating on the moped, saying he did so for “vengeance”. The total cost to clean the excreta from the moped was $40.

Lecnar is charged with 5th Degree Criminal Mischief. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 30 days in jail.

A preliminary court appearance is set for November 19th.
