A Louisa County man faces charges that he shattered the glass door of a North Liberty apartment building in order to gain entry.

North Liberty Police say 21-year-old Izak Wadden of Grandview was outside 520 Madison Avenue just after 2:30 Saturday morning when he threw a rock through a glass door. Arriving officers found him inside the building, showing multiple signs of intoxication, including having trouble walking under his own power. Police say Wadden cut his hand in the process of shattering the door, and his blood was found on the main entrance.

Wadden allegedly struggled with police when they tried to get him into the squad car. He’s charged with 3rd Degree Criminal Mischief, Public Intoxication and Interference with Official Acts. If convicted on all charges, he faces a maximum of over two years in jail.
