Cedar Rapids police are looking for a suspect who robbed a sandwich shop at gunpoint Tuesday.
According to a media release from the CRPD, they got a call from the Subway shop on Gateway Place Southwest at 8pm, with employees reporting they had just been robbed at gunpoint.
Officers got a description of the suspect, a black male in his late 30s. He fled the store on foot with cash.
Police were joined by a K9 Unit from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office in a search of the area for the suspect, but were unsuccessful in finding him.
No one was injured in the incident.
Cedar Rapids police are asking for the public’s help in their ongoing investigation. Anyone with information can contact the Department at 286-5530.
