An early morning explosion in Washington Iowa has caused damage to homes and left at least two injured.
Officials say they got multiple calls about the blast just after 4am on the 1100 block of East Washington Street. Upon arrival, crews were able to extinguish the ensuing fire. All residents were evacuated from the home; there were two non-life threatening injuries caused by the blaze.
The explosion broke windows of nearby homes.
The incident remains under investigation.
