An Iowa City woman already facing weapons charges after allegedly chasing an ex-boyfriend around a convenience store parking lot with a kitchen knife and slashing two of his tires has been arrested after busting out the back window of a man’s car.

Police were called to the Court Hill Condos on South Scott Boulevard the morning of February 5th on report of a fight. The victim reported that he had an altercation with 24-year-old Pamela Simpson of Muscatine Avenue. Simpson allegedly got angry and ran outside, yelling that she was going to “eff up” his car.  He went to the window and reportedly saw Simpson smash out the back window of his vehicle with his own steel-toed boots that were sitting outside his door. She then reportedly fled in a cab.

Officers observed the boots on top of the man’s vehicle when they arrived. The window was valued at $500; when police tried to reach her by phone, Simpson reportedly hung up on them.

A warrant was issued for her arrest, and she was booked at the Johnson County Jail early Monday morning.

Simpson had a case management conference scheduled for Monday on the previous incident, which occurred this past November. She was allegedly upset with her ex-boyfriend for not picking her up from work as he’d agreed to. She faces up to three years in prison for that incident; she could be sentenced to up to an additional year for this month’s charges of 4th degree Criminal Mischief.
