Tiffin woman accused of dragging two year old child outside in freezing temperatures

A Tiffin woman who allegedly got into an argument with a man over the custody of their child has been charged with child endangerment after allegedly dragging the two-year-old into freezing temperatures.

The incident occurred on February 15th at around 4:20 pm. 36-year-old Shasta Joy went to the man’s residence on East Street, despite having a protective order with him. Joy allegedly got into a verbal altercation about custody.  She was seen on video dragging the two-year-old outside, wearing only a diaper while the temperature was well below freezing.

Joy was charged with Child Endangerment and violation of the no-contact order. She could be sentenced to up to two years in prison if convicted.
