CommUnity Crisis Services and Food Bank “Restaurant Week” begins Monday

(CommUnity Crisis Services and Food Bank news release)

Iowa City, IA, February 23, 2021 – One of CommUnity Crisis Services and Food Bank’s most popular traditions will have a new look and feel this year. Due to the pandemic, the Annual Pancake Breakfast, normally held at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, has been reimagined as a restaurant week. Restaurant Week 2021 is a partnership between CommUnity, local restaurants, and our sponsor for the event, GreenState Credit Union. CommUnity Restaurant Week will take place the first week of March, with different restaurants participating each day. Locally-owned restaurants including Micky’s Irish Pub, Pizza Ranch, Tin Roost, Reunion, Bread Garden, Hamburg Inn, Midtown Family Restaurants, Wildwood, Maggie’s Farm Wood-Fired Pizza and Dumpling Darling are all taking part. Simply visit a participating restaurant on the specific day, and a portion of your meal’s total will go directly to CommUnity when you order during the dates and times listed at builtbycommunity.org/restaurant-week.

If you’d prefer to donate directly, our friends at Our Redeemer are holding a special collection in place of the annual event. You can make a financial contribution at builtbycommunity.org/Pancake-Day.
