UI Hosts Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament this week

The University of Iowa is the host for this year’s Big Ten Tournament, beginning today at Grant Field.

Nine teams will be participating, starting with a play-in game between Michigan State and Indiana at noon. The winner takes on top-seeded Michigan Wednesday at 11am.

Iowa will play Maryland Wednesday at 1:30. The Hawkeyes, who finished the regular season at 10-4, are seeded fifth and in the same bracket as Michigan. The championship will be played at 11am Saturday.

Fans will be allowed to attend; capacity is limited to 50 percent as part of current University of Iowa Athletics protocol. Tickets are $5 per session, kids 18 and under are free. Masks will be required. Tickets are available at hawkeye sports dot com.
