KWWL-TV Weekend Anchor arrested on domestic assault charge

A weekend news anchor at KWWL TV has been arrested on domestic violence charges.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports that 34-year-old Danielle Miskell was taken into custody on Thursday. She started in March at the station, where she anchors weekend newscasts and is also a reporter.

Officers received a report of arguing at Miskell’s apartment building in Waterloo just before 10pm. Her boyfriend, identified in the article as William Mohr, exited the apartment holding an ice pack on his face and had swelling on his left eye. Police say Miskell hit and kicked him multiple times.

She has been charged with domestic abuse assault causing injury, a serious misdemeanor. A no-contact order was issued byJudge Patrice Eichman on Friday.

Miskell was released to pretrial services pending trial; a preliminary hearing is set for June 3rd.
