“Daddy was being mean and grabbed Mommy and yelled at her.” That was how a four-year old described a domestic assault between parents to police last week.

The incident occurred the evening of July 24th, when 32-year-old Richard Casey of Greencastle Avenue Northwest and the woman he shares the child with were attempting an exchange at Casey’s residence. An argument ensued and reportedly turned physical.

Casey is accused of grabbing the woman by the neck and attempting to force her into the garage. The woman reportedly suffered neck pain and a bruise to her arm because of the altercation.

A warrant was issued for Casey’s arrest. He was taken into custody just before 1:30  am Friday. He’s been charged with Domestic Abuse Assault causing Injury, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail term of up to a year if convicted.
