A Coralville parolee faces charges that he showed up to random drug testing while dangerously intoxicated.

According to online records, 22-year-old Nathan Fisher of Cole Road was found passed out behind Monica’s on the Coralville Strip on September 26th. His blood alcohol level was measured at .226%.

Fisher reported to random drug testing last Wednesday. The parole officer asked him if he had consumed any alcohol that day, to which he reportedly replied that he had. Fisher’s initial blood alcohol level was measured at .28%. Another sample was taken about 40 minutes later, indicating Fisher’s BAC was .342%.

An online chart from Virginia Tech University shows that a BAC between .3 and .4 could lead to central nervous system depression, stupor, and a slight possibility of death.

Fisher now faces a parole violation.  Records show he was on parole for a theft conviction out of Polk County.
