An arraignment date has been set for a Virginia man accused of providing alcohol to and having inappropriate contact with a 13-year-old girl near Lake MacBride.

24-year-old Sergey Whitt of Chester, VA made his initial appearance in Johnson County Court Wednesday afternoon. That’s when Judge Andrew Chappell set an arraignment date of December 10th.

Whitt was booked into the Johnson County Jail earlier this month. According to arrest records, around 10:30pm on August 5th, 2018, he provided alcohol to the girl and touched her in an inappropriate way “for the purpose of arousing or satisfying the sexual desires” of either individual. The incident allegedly occurred in a beach parking lot on Lake MacBride Road. No other details about the case have been released.

Whitt is charged with Indecent Contact with a Child and Supplying Alcohol to a Person Under Age. If convicted on both charges, he faces a maximum of three years in prison.
