Tiffin woman arrested after domestic incident over the weekend

A Tiffin woman was taken into custody over the weekend after a domestic incident turned physical.

A sheriff’s deputy was dispatched on Sunday around 5:30 pm on reports of a physical domestic disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with 18-year-old Jaycee Jurgens of Potter Street, laying on her back in the front lawn.

According to the arrest report, Jurgens went to the victim’s residence after receiving information about a recent affair. She then allegedly got out of her car and confronted the victim, who was standing outside near the driveway to the residence. Jurgens reportedly hit the victim with a closed and open fist to the back part of the victim’s body. There were visible scratch marks and visible reddening to the victim’s back as a result of the alleged attack.

Jurgens and the victim lived at the victim’s residence together for a period of time and had an in timate relationship for approximately 11 months. Jurgens allegedly admitted assaulting the victim due to the recent information she had received about the reported affair.

Jurgens was charged with 1st offense Domestic Assault and could be sentenced to up to 30 days in jail if convicted. A no-contact order was requested between the two parties involved.
