A Cedar Rapids man accused of killing a woman at his home in April has had his request to have his trial moved due to pre-trial publicity denied.

KCRG TV reports that 62-year-old Arthur Flowers said area news outlets’ reporting on the story would make it difficult to sit an impartial jury in his case. However, a judge said the media coverage in his case was not inflammatory or sensational.

His trial will begin June 28th, three weeks later than originally scheduled.
