Iowa City Police have arrested a suspect wanted for a Coralville Police chase after he reportedly threw a rock through the windshield of a car.

Officers were called to an address on Highland Avenue just after 1am Saturday after 32-year-old Tylor Hogan of the Holiday Lodge manufactured housing community in North Liberty allegedly threw a rock through the windshield of a 2008 BMW. Damage is estimated at $500.

Hogan was wanted after he allegedly led Coralville Police on a chase on Interstate 380 on December 2nd. Police say just after 11:15 that morning Hogan ran a red light, turned southbound on I-380 from Forevergreen Road, then passed another motorist on the shoulder of the on-ramp. Officers pursued Hogan’s 2018 Infiniti QX30 as it wove through traffic in a construction zone, allegedly speeding and passing cars on the shoulder. The pursuit was terminated for safety reasons, although Iowa DOT cameras allegedly show Hogan’s dangerous driving continued on Highway 218 to Highway 1, reaching average speeds of around 110 miles per hour.

Hogan is charged with Eluding at More Than 25 Miles Per Hour Over The Speed Limit and 4th Degree Criminal Mischief. If convicted on both charges, he faces a maximum of three years in jail.
