The University of Iowa Dance Marathon raised over $1.17 million this weekend.
The event, which was fully live in 2020 before the pandemic hit and forced them into a virtual event format in 2021 and 2022, ran in its pre-pandemic format. Dancers started at 7pm Friday and the event featured visits from the families of those being treated at the Stead Family Childrens Hospital, presentation of donation checks, and the final reveal at 7pm Saturday.
The official total was $1,174,008.29. If you didn’t get a chance to make a donation, the window is still open at www.dancemarathon.org.
