An Iowa City man faces multiple drug charges after allegedly being found in possession of marijuana and methamphetamine on two separate occasions.

On April 5th, police executed a search warrant on 32-year-old Dustin Kreimeyer’s residence and person. His backpack reportedly contained over 24 grams of meth, along with a digital scale and packing material. Kreimeyer allegedly admitted that the items were his and that he sold meth. A review of his cellphone showed evidence of him selling the drug.

Kreimeyer was then stopped by police the evening of April 8th by the Waterfront HyVee and picked up on a warrant. A subsequent search incident to his arrest allegedly turned up over 12 grams of suspected marijuana, over 10 grams of suspected meth, a clear glass pipe with residue, bags used for storing narcotics and a scale.  Kreimeyer reportedly admitted all the items recovered were his.

Kreimeyer was arrested early Friday and charged with several controlled substance counts, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to affix tax stamp. If convicted on all charges, Kreimeyer could be sentenced to over 72 years in prison.
