Board of Regents give raises and extend contract to university presidents

The Iowa Board of Regents wrapped up their two-day meeting in Iowa City Wednesday, handing out raises and extending contracts to presidents at the three state-run universities.

The Press-Citizen reports that University of Iowa president Barbara Wilson will get a $50,000 raise effective July 1st. That raises her annual salary to $700,000.

At the University of Northern Iowa, President Mark Nook will receive a 4.8 percent raise, amounting to $15,000. That brings his annual salary as of July 1st to over $372,000.

Iowa State University’s president Wendy Winterseteen’s salary will remain at $650,000, but she was given a contract extension through June 2026.
