Cedar Rapids Police investigating Monday morning shots fired incident

Cedar Rapids Police are investigating an overnight shots-fired incident.

According to a release from the CRPD, officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Fruitland Blvd SW at approximately 1:21a.m. on Monday following the report of shots fired in the area.  Responding officers found property damage and shell casings in the roadway.

Authorities are seeking information from anyone in the area with camera footage that may be helpful in identifying those responsible.  To speak with investigators, call the non-emergency hotline at 319-286-5491.
