Iowa City Police are investigating reported threats against Mercy Iowa City.
According to an ICPD news release, at 8:43 Thursday morning officers were informed of an agitated individual making threats over the phone to a specific Mercy clinic. The ICPD is working with Mercy to assess the threat.
In accordance with their protocols, Mercy Hospitals locked down their facilities in response to the threat. Regina schools were also locked down. Iowa City Police have not received any information that a threat has been made against Regina Schools.
This incident remains under investigation and no other information is available at this time.
