If you’ve been missing the Iowa River Power restaurant, a joint venture between the owners and the Highlander Hotel will peak your interest.
The Homegrowniowan website says the Highlander was purchased by Angela Harrington in 2019 and transformed it from the lowest traveler-rated stop in Johnson County to the first in just a few years. She contacted Danise Petsel of IRP when the restaurant closed their doors in November and discussed bringing back the old Supper Club to a place for locals and travelers to dine.
Sunday brunch will return, as well as a full dining, catering and room service menu.
The partnership’s opening will be Sunday brunch March 24th, with brunch to be offered on Saturdays as well. Reservations are already being accepted by emailing [email protected] or calling 319-354-2000.
