An Iowa City man was arrested this week after allegedly being observed conducting a drug deal.
Officers reportedly witnessed 26-year-old Zachary Prestridge of Southgate Avenue do the deal with another individual on the 2000 block of Waterfront Drive. Prestridge was detained and was allegedly found with a large quantity of cash rolled up in a rubber band. The reported recipient of the drug deal was found in possession of four ounces of marijuana.
Prestridge was charged with a Class D Controlled Substance violation and Failure to Affix Drug Stamp. He could be sentenced to a maximum ten years in prison if convicted on both counts.
