A Chicago man who allegedly attempted to interfere with an arrest was arrested himself over the weekend.
Police were dealing with another subject just after 12:45 am Sunday when 26-year-old Eric Guise reportedly began yelling at the officers involved. He was advised to leave the scene or would be charged with interference, but Guise allegedly refused to listen to the officer’s commands.
He reportedly had the standard signs of intoxication, including bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech, the odor of ingested alcohol, and was verbally combative. Guise also was wearing bar wrist bands.
He refused a post-arrest PBT and a subsequent search allegedly turned up two bags of marijuana on his person.
Guise has been charged with Interference with Official Acts, Public Intoxication, and Marijuana possession. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to a maximum 14 months in jail.
