A prison inmate has died in North Liberty.
According to the Iowa Department of Corrections, 46-year-old Kahlan Bradford was pronounced dead at 5:31 Wednesday night at Medical Center North Liberty.
Bradford’s sentence began on June 24th, 2024 after a parole violation. In 2019, he threatened to kill a Black Hawk County sheriff’s deputy with a knife. At the time of that incident, Bradford was on probation for threatening a different officer with a chisel in 2013.
