The Hawkeye baseball program got some good news this week when Dallas Baptist outfielder Joey Nerat announced he was transferring to the University of Iowa.
Nerat made the announcement on X. He batted .285 last season with a .395 on-base percentage while slugging .401 for the Patriots, who were a top 25 team for much of the 2025 season.
Nerat is expected to battle for a starting spot on next season’s Hawkeye squad.
