Primary election results are in.

For Johnson County Supervisor, winners in contested Democratic races include incumbents Jon Green, Lisa Green-Douglas, Mandi Remmington and V Fixmer-Oraiz. Fixmer-Oraiz defeated incumbent Rod Sullivan after the two were placed in the same district by the Republican-controlled Iowa Legislature. An uncontested supervisors race saw Sue Dvorsky run unopposed in District 3.
Republicans ran unopposed in three county supervisor districts, including Greg Erceg, Phil Hemmingway, and Jennie Wunderlich.

In the race for Iowa’s 1st Congressional District, Democrat Christina Bohannan will face off against incumbent Marianette Miller-Meeks this fall.

Statewide,  Josh Turek defeated Coralville’s Zach Wahls for the Democratic nomination for Senate, while Ashley Hinson took the Republican nomination.

In the governor’s race, Rob Sand took the Democratic nomination, while Zach Lahn was defeated Randy Feenstra in a tight race for the Republican nomination.
