The Sugar Bottom Campground beach at Coralville Lake has been closed due to high E. coli levels.
Coralville Lake officials with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Rock Island District said the closure was in effect as of 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Weekly testing is being completed, and officials say the beach will reopen once E. coli levels return to normal ranges. No estimate date of reopening was given.
