A Davenport man was arrested early Wednesday morning after allegedly being caught urinating in public.
Police say 19-year-old Johnathan Dang of Duggleby Avenue was observed urinating in the 10 block of South Clinton Street at around 1:15 am. When officers went to stop him, Dang reportedly fled on foot, ignoring commands and flashing lights. He was apprehended after a short chase.
Dang allegedly had slurred speech, poor balance, and the odor of alcohol on his breath. A search of his person post-arrest discovered a fictitious ID making him appear to be of legal drinking age.
Dang has been charged with public intoxication, interference with official acts, and possession of a fictitious ID. If convicted on the charges, he could be sentenced to up to 14 months in jail.
