An Iowa City woman faces charges that she drove drunk with two children in her car.

45-year-old Sally Bowers of North Summit Street was reportedly driving all over the road on West Overlook Road near Linder Point Campground at the Coralville Reservoir around 6pm Saturday. Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies stopped Bowers, who they say showed multiple signs of intoxication. She also allegedly performed poorly on field sobriety testing, and refused portable Breathalyzer and Datamaster testing.

Two minor children were inside Bowers’ vehicle at the time of her arrest. She’s charged with Operating While Intoxicated and two counts of Child Endangerment. If convicted, she faces a maximum of five years in prison.
