The Johnson County Sheriff’s office has identified a man killed in an early Tuesday morning crash north of Iowa City.
According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, a silver Chevy Silverado driven by 37-year-old Michael Wilson of Iowa City plunged over the side of a bridge in the 4800 block of Dingleberry Road around 6:30 Tuesday morning. Arriving Solon and Iowa City firefighters found Wilson dead inside the vehicle, which fell into Rapid Creek.
The crash remains under investigation.
Dingleberry Road NE is temporarily closed at that location pending bridge repair and inspection.
