WHO TV has obtained a heavily redacted police report from the University of Iowa showing that three victims filed police reports after the Hawkeye-Cyclone football game.

Iowa State Police Chief Michael Newton said that his department will continue to move their investigation forward and are happy that people are willing to come forward about the alleged incidents.

Reports say that members of the Hawkeye Marching Band were pushed, shoved, groped and one member reports being hit with a beer bottle in the arm. One member reportedly received broken ribs as a result of the after-game fracas.

Email correspondence between Cyclone Marching Band Director Christian Carichner and Hawkeye Marching Band Director Eric Bush obtained by WHO TV discusses how the Hawkeye band was to enter the stadium but not which gate they were supposed to exit. The email describes where the band buses can move during the fourth quarter for post-game load-in.

During Tuesday’s press conference, ISU Police say that at some point during the September 14th game at Jack Trice Stadium, the band was instructed to use gate 1 instead of gate 5 where the crowd of fans were. ISU Athletic Director Jamie Pollard said that the ISU band used gate 1 and had no issues, but for unknown reasons the Iowa band did not.

Both schools say they will continue their investigation and encourage anyone who has information regarding the alleged inappropriate behavior to come forward.
