A fight outside an Oxford bar has led to an arrest.

Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to The Dawg House on Augusta Avenue just after 10:30 Thursday night for a woman punching and grabbing another woman outside the bar. The alleged victim identified her assailant as 31-year-old Melissa Reynolds of East Main Street. When given a description, officers recognized her as someone they had seen previously at the Dawg House. She was identified by previous body cam footage and her Facebook photo.

The woman who was allegedly attacked was bleeding and suffered bruising and cuts on her forehead and face. Reynolds was found with bruising on her neck and a ripped shirt.

A witness reportedly tried pulling Reynolds away from the other woman, which was consistent with the bruising and ripped shirt.

Reynolds is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a Serious Misdemeanor punishable by a maximum of one year in jail.
