Coralville police are attempting to find a 60-year-old woman who has been missing since last Saturday.
In a press release, police chief Shane Kron announced that Kathryn Ironside was last seen the afternoon of January 4th near her apartment in the 200 block of East 9th Street, and has since been reported missing. Police believe she would have been on foot when she left her residence.
Police now say that Ironside’s coat was discovered by the Iowa River near the roller dam in Coralville Monday night. Fearing that she may have gone into the water, officials have been searching around the river since Tuesday, but have not yet found signs of Ironside.
Anyone with information regarding Ms. Ironside’s whereabouts are urged to call the Coralville Police at 319-248-1800.
