Local Hy-Vee food stores will soon be reducing their hours.
The company has announced that many of its stores throughout the state will begin closing during the overnight hours. New hours for Hy-Vee’s Iowa City-area stores will be 5am to midnight starting on Monday, February 10th. Stores in Cedar Rapids and Marion will have the same new hours. Waterloo Hy-Vee’s will close one hour earlier at 11pm.
The company says the move allows its current overnight employees to be reassigned to busier hours of operation.
