Getting stopped for having the wrong plates on his vehicle led to the 4th OWI arrest of a Hills man.

Police say they stopped 20-year-old Seth Eastwood of Iowa Street just after Midnight on Wednesday for failing to stop at a stop sign on Main Street in Hills. He was also displaying plates that didn’t match the Ford Taurus he was driving. A check of his records indicated that he was barred from driving.

When Eastwood exited his vehicle, a meth pipe was allegedly located in the seat. He also reportedly told officers that there was a bag of marijuana in the center console and that he had used marijuana. Eastwood allegedly had bloodshot watery eyes and performed poorly on field tests.

Eastwood refused PBTs, but a warrant was obtained, and blood and urine were collected at a hospital.

Eastwood has been charged with Operating while Under the Influence 3rd or Subsequent Offense, Marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while barred. If convicted on all counts, Eastwood could be sentenced to over 8 years in prison.
