A Coralville man faces charges that he choked his wife and daughter, causing injuries.

Coralville Police say 25-year-old Tyrone Simpson of 6th Street grabbed his wife by the throat just before 10:15 Monday night, applied pressure, then threw her against a wall. The choke impeded blood and airflow, and investigators noticed marks resembling handprints around her neck.
