A downtown Iowa City bar and grill popular with University of Iowa students plans to reopen this weekend.
Brothers on the Ped Mall announced on its official Facebook and Twitter pages it plans to reopen on Saturday. The post says Brothers will adhere to strict social distancing requirements, including running at a maximum of half occupancy for the foreseeable future. Other safety measures will be implemented as well, although the post does not go into detail.
Brothers kitchen will also reopen on Saturday with its full menu.
Governor Kim Reynolds enacted restrictions on multiple businesses in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, closing some temporarily. She’s targeted Friday as a day when all counties statewide will have many of those restrictions removed or scaled back.
