IDPH announces new coronavirus cases; 318 now dead from COVID 19 in state

The Iowa Department of Public Health announced Thursday that 386 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the state, and 12 additional deaths.
That brings infections to 13,675 and total deaths to 318. Polk County has overtaken Linn County with the most deaths, at 67, to Linn’s 65.
405 Iowans are currently hospitalized, with 131 of them in the ICU. 93 patients are on ventilators.
Polk County continues to see a rise in cases; they now have 2634 cases. Woodbury County has 2073. Linn County has 871 confirmed cases, with Johnson County at 562. 95 of Iowa’s 99 counties have at least one resident with COVID-19.
15.3% of the 89,294 Iowans tested have been confirmed with the novel coronavirus. The current recovery rate is 45.5 percent.
