As the Iowa economy has started to open up, the number of new coronavirus cases in the area are starting to slow.
The latest data from the Iowa Department of Public Health shows Johnson County has a total of 569 cases, a rise of only four from Friday’s figures. In Linn County, the total is 896, just 14 more than the Friday total.
Still, all but two of Iowa’s 99 counties now have at least one case of COVID-19 reported. Polk County’s figures went up 155 since Friday and have over 700 more than the next-highest county, Woodbury.
14,651 Iowans have been confirmed infected with coronavirus; 7154 have recovered, a rate of nearly 49 percent.
The death toll stands at 351.
