Members of the Iowa City City Council will hold a Listening Post at 5:30 p.m. today over Zoom. Council representatives Susan Mims, John Thomas, and Janice Weiner will be in attendance.
It’s the second in a series of six listening posts to aid in the development of a plan to improve community policing. Each event will feature a different area of focus, and tonight’s listening post will focus on the topics of special needs populations. Local service providers who will be in attendance include Mary Roberts of The Village Community and Sarah Martinez of Access 2 Independence of Eastern Iowa.
