The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported attempted kidnapping in Tiffin.
The alleged incident happened around 6pm Tuesday at the Tiffin Kum & Go off Interstate 80. A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office told KCRG TV-9 that a woman or girl of unknown age reported that a man grabbed her by the wrist and asked her if she wanted to go home with him. She pulled away and fled into the store.
Investigators say the man interacted with another person before leaving the area.
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-to-late 40′s with black hair, a goatee, and scabs on his face. He was believed to be driving a white van with tinted windows.
The incident remains under investigation.
