A Coralville man has been arrested for drunk driving after a single vehicle accident on Interstate 380.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says 27-year-old Ian Mitchell of Kenai Court was driving his 2013 Buick Encore southbound near the Swisher exit just before 1am Saturday when he crashed his vehicle. Mitchell allegedly admitted to drinking three beers before driving.
The arresting deputy says Mitchell performed poorly on field sobriety tests and registered blood alcohol levels of .150 and .140.
Mitchell was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated – 2nd Offense. There were no reported injuries.
