IC Animal Services seeks assistance identifying dog’s owner following bite

Iowa City Animal Services is looking for a dog that bit a person Wednesday afternoon.

According to a news release, an individual reported being bitten by a chocolate-colored or brown Labrador-type puppy while walking the trails on the east side of Hickory Hill Park around 1:45 Wednesday afternoon. The dog was wearing a blue collar and was accompanied by an older white female. The female had short salt-and-pepper colored hair, darker rimmed glasses, and was wearing a chain necklace. The dog owner advised the individual that the dog was not vaccinated due to age and refused to provide any other personal information.

Iowa City Animal Services is looking to locate the owner of the dog for information regarding its health history.
