Iowa City Animal Services is looking for the owner of a dog who bit an individual over the weekend.
A release from the City says that the person reported being near an apartment building in the 600 Block of South Dubuque Street around 2:30 a.m. Sunday when they were bitten by a dog described as a brown and black pit bull terrier. The dog was with a woman described as being approximately 5’5″ tall.
Iowa City Animal Services is looking to locate the owner of the dog for information regarding its rabies vaccination history. If anyone has information about the identity of the owner, they are encouraged to contact Iowa City Animal services directly at 319-356-5295 or the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-5275.
