A Coralville man was taken into custody Sunday night after allegedly assaulting the woman who he shares a child with and has been living with for over a year.
Police were called to the Boston Way apartment of 28-year-old Trevon Walker a little after 9:30 pm. According to the arrest report, Walker shoved the woman against a wall and onto the ground. He then allegedly got on top of the woman, pulling her hair and physically assaulting her.
Officers noted several cuts on the woman’s arms as a result of the altercation, and Walker allegedly admitted to the incident and to shoving the woman.
Walker was taken into custody and charged with second offense Domestic Abuse Assault, an aggravated misdemeanor.
