The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident near North Liberty.
According to a news release, just before 1:30 Saturday morning first responders were called to a single-vehicle crash on the 2800 block of North Dubuque Street NE. A 2010 Jeep Wrangler was traveling southbound on Dubuque Street and entered the ditch, where it rolled and ejected both occupants. 18-year-old Trevor Burrows of North Liberty died at the scene. 18-year-old Jacob Cohen of Iowa City was transported by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. His condition has not been released
