University of Iowa Police have received a report of a sexual assault on campus.
According to a news release from the UI Department of Public Safety, school officials received a report of a sexual assault that occurred at approximately 12:30 Thursday morning in an east side residence hall. The assault was reportedly perpetrated by an acquaintance. Online records show the incident was reported Monday afternoon.
The report has since been referred to the university’s Title IX Coordinator for appropriate investigation, follow-up, and evaluation of sanctions.
No other details about the incident have been released.
