An Iowa City woman reportedly celebrated her birthday by getting an OWI.
According to the sheriff’s report, deputies were dispatched to Riverside at around 11:30pm Sunday, where a vehicle was parked in the middle of the roadway with its lone occupant passed out inside. They were able to wake 39-year-old Ann Beery, who allegedly had the odor of ingested alcohol. She reportedly admitted to drinking.
She refused physical and chemical testing.
Beery was charged with OWI second offense, an aggravated misdemeanor.
