An allegedly intoxicated driver blamed the age of his car for a one-vehicle crash early Friday morning on Highway 218.

Johnson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a man walking along the highway near the Highway 1 exit just before 5am. Arriving officers found 20-year-old True MacMillan of Louisville, Kentucky standing next to a vehicle that was stuck in the median.

MacMillan claimed his car was old, causing it to crash into the median. He showed multiple signs of intoxication, failed field sobriety tests and scored a .132 blood alcohol content on a portable Breathalyzer test.

MacMillan was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated.
