A woman who was asked to leave the scene of Wednesday night’s Coralville shootings was taken into custody after failing to cooperate with authorities.

Police were on the 900 block of Boston Way, investigating the shooting since about 9:30pm, when they asked 30-year-old Angel Horton of Petsel Place to leave the crime scene so that officers could continue their investigation.

Horton at first merely argued with officers, but when they attempted to escort her out of the crime scene at approximately 10:10pm, she raised her arms and pulled against them in an attempt to continue walking further into the crime scene.

Horton was taken into custody and charged with interference with a corrections official, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to one year.
